FORMER Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's eldest sister passed away at 10pm yesterday.
Malay Mail was told Rafeah Mohamad Iskandar, 95, was admitted to the Kedah Medical Centre in Alor Star at about 11am yesterday.
Doctors told her family that the cause of death was due to old age. Earlier, Rafeah was said to havecomplained about losing her appetite and was coughing badly.
Rafeah, born in 1914, was the eldest of Dr Mahathir's three sisters.
She left behind a son, Ahmad Mustafa Md Hassan and four grandchildren. The body is expected to be buried at Akar Peluru burial grounds in Alor Star today at 11am
